DM Companion is in development. These terms cover this website and the early-access program. We'll publish full terms for the app before it opens.

Who can use DM Companion

You must be 18 or older to sign up for early access or use DM Companion. By signing up, you confirm that you are.

Early access

Joining the early-access list doesn't guarantee an invitation or a launch date. Early-access versions may change, have bugs, or lose data, so keep your own copies of anything important. Once the app is available, you can export your campaign as markdown at any time.

Your content

You own the campaign notes, characters, maps, and other material you create or upload. You give us permission to store and process that content only as needed to run DM Companion for you. You're responsible for having the right to anything you upload.

AI-generated content

DM Companion can generate suggestions such as NPCs, encounters, summaries, and images. Generated material can be wrong or inconsistent with your notes, and it's marked as a draft until you accept it. Review it before using it at your table.

Acceptable use

Don't use DM Companion to break the law, harass anyone, upload material you don't have rights to, or attack or overload the service.

Trademarks

DM Companion is an independent product and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast, Paizo, or any game publisher. Game names mentioned on this site belong to their owners.

No warranty

This website and early-access versions of DM Companion are provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of them.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we make significant changes, we'll post them here and email people on the early-access list.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.
